2010 marks Serena C’s 11th year on radio! There’s a popular industry belief that the shelf life of a radio DJ almost never exceeds 7 years. Safe to say she’s one of the rare few who’s potential far exceeds that of what others expect of her.

Since her first minute on air that fateful day Jan 1, 2000, Serena had held the reign of the 1st lady of hitz, had broken into TV, and then made a smooth transition to the breakfast show on MIX fm where she accompanied the nation as they made their daily voyage to work and school.

Serena had shared laughs, tears, and more with faithful MIX listeners – through many gut-wrenching, fist grabbing moments and daily calls where she interacted with friends who called in to the station. She loved every minute of it – even if it meant waking up at 4.30 am.

Now, besides holding her own as one of the country’s top and most in demand MCs for launches, fashion shows, corporate shows, concerts etc, Serena wakes up to deliver 45 minutes of non stop music every weekday from 10 am to 1 pm.

Being a celeb goss, Twitter, YouTube enthusiast – you can be sure to get only the latest, juiciest, quirkiest updates from Serena C!

Hisham was born to husband-and-wife Hamzah of Johor Bahru and Rosnah of Kota Bharu – or as he calls it, “a Bharu relationship”. The PJ-bred boy was in this show called What Women Want… then became a Mix RoadRunner… and then started his career as a MIX fm announcer!

After doing the night shift for about a year, he “graduated” to the Drive shift where his responsibility is to entertain people driving home from work.

Although he only needs to be at work by 2 pm, Sham wakes up by 8 or 9 am because HE NEEDS HIS BREAKFAST – which includes having roti canai or fried kuey tiow and sipping coffee while reading the day’s newspaper.

He sees his future self making loads of money entertaining, owning an environmentally friendly home by the beach, being an entrepreneur in agriculture, and an investor in many ventures. He would be able to afford a Lamborghini (but choose not to get one and instead using a regular car but will spend on restoring classic cars like a Mustang).

A vociferous familiar voice over MIX fm, Roshan is a blazing newcomer in the scene, having started his career in radio just over 3 years ago.

What he lacks in years of experience, he makes up with an abundance of zest, determination and outgoing personality. Although he graduated with a first class degree in IT, Roshan followed the road less taken, fuelled by his love for music, and pursued his creative impulses instead – proving it to be a long rewarding journey ahead.

While not in the studio on-air, or doing voice-overs, Roshan is an avid sportsman who plays futsal and badminton whenever he could find the time to, and the tall, dark and handsome bloke is also a World Vision Advocate, promoting the organization’s children based projects and campaigns.

Roshan Narayan is just starting to make his mark in the local entertainment industry, and doing it in style.
